The Portuguese 'Bossa Nova' is often translated as “New Wave”. 'Bossa' refers specifically to a two-person dance popular in 1950s Brazil that came to symbolize the Samba music popular in the beach culture of the time. Thanks to the pioneering efforts of great culture-crossing musicians like Carlos Jobim, Joao Gilberto, and Johnny Alf, a new generation of music based on the bossa, a 'new bossa' or Bossa Nova, emigrated from Brazil to the United States and there became an integral part of the landscape of jazz. Bossa Nova is a music of dance, of the sun, of the beach, of lounging in the shade and of drinking with friends as the warm dusk settles. Brazilian coffee and Brazilian Bossa Nova share deep roots in the land and in the people of Brazil, and together or separately they bring warm, bright, clear happiness.

Youdai Bossa Nova Jazz Coffee blends the highest grade arabica beans from South America for an exceptionally soft, smooth, and balanced taste. Clean and clear mouthfeel with medium brightness and medium-body slowly slide into lingering hints of nuts and fruit. A swaying, smiling coffee.
